    My arm is disabled...why can't I get SSDI?

    My arm are my disability and I was laid off my current job because of this so my question why dont i qualify for disability.

    To win SSDI benefits you have to prove not only that you cannot work your current job but you also cannot retrain for new work. Your condition also has to be expected to last 12 months. Additionally, you have to have sufficient work credits to be considered insured. Without more information it's impossible to say for sure why you were denied.
